PHOTOEYE SENSOR
Sensors using light beamed across a measurement field are called photoelectric detector, or thru beam sensors. This non-contact sensor technology is used very successfully to measure and control processes that might be hard to reach, or might damage contact based sensing equipment.
The technology is particular well suited to detecting parts behind glass, counting parts, monitoring the height of stacks of parts, helping to align parts, detecting markings on parts such as a brand logo, and detecting the level of product in a vessel.
PHOTOELECTRIC SWITCH
To turn equipment on and off in aggressive environments the photo sensor light technology provides unmatched versatility to system designers. However because of the many challenges presented by applications, Balluff manufactures many types
The photoelectric sensor types produced by Balluff include: the BOS diffuse, with or without background suppression, through-beam, or retroreflective sensor; the BGL photoelectric fork sensor; the BWL angle sensor; the BOW optical window sensor; the BLG light grid sensor; the BLA light band sensor; the BFS color sensor; the BKT contrast sensor; the BOD distance sensor; the BLT luminescence sensor; the BFB fiber based sensor; the BFO plastic and glass fiber sensor; and the BOH micromote sensor.
