INDUCTIVE TYPE
Sensors using inductive measurement technology provide manufacturers with highly reliable non-contact, wear-resistant sensors to detect metal objects.
The principle used by inductive proximity sensors and inductive proximity switches is based on the predictable electrical forces of eddy currents generated by the presence of a nearby, typically less than 2 inches away, ferrous metal object as it moves closer or further away from the sensor.
