CAPACITIVE TYPE
Sensors using capacitance measurement technology measure density changes with the goal of detecting objects without necessarily contacting the target object.
CAPACITIVE LEVEL SENSOR
When you want to know whether the contents of a storage tank is above a specific height, whether for volumetric calculation, or to switch pumps on or off, a capacitive level sensor may be an ideal choice. These sensors are able to penetrate tank or container walls and detect non-conducting materials, such as liquids, powders, or pellets.
Balluff's patented Smart Level sensor technology adjusts for foam, adhesion, and moisture whether measuring through glass or plastic vessel walls up to 3/8" thick, making these the ideal sensors to measure or control the level of conductive media.
CAPACITIVE PROXIMITY SENSOR
Or maybe on your production line you just want to know whether a component is present or not, then a capacitive proximity, or capacitive distance sensor may suit the application.
Balluff sensors include the extensive BCS series of both non-contact, and contact sensors, and the BAE signal amplifiers. The BCS capacitive sensors from Balluff include adjustable sensitivity, and many sensors are equipped with switching functionality within the sensor.
HTE Automation works with manufacturers throughout Kansas, Missouri, and Illinois to specify the optimal sensors to provide control systems with the data needed to maximize safety, quality, and productivity.
