PROCESS CHANGE-OVER

The goal of this project was to allow operators to seamlessly change production recipes “On-the-Fly” without stopping their cement mixing process.

The solution replaced the existing time-consuming manual process for recipe setup change which involved changing chains and pulleys to “fine-tune” ingredient ratios.  Operators can now safely create or select, edit, and save recipes, all from the intuitive HMI without stopping production.

This TECHTEAM designed solution eliminated the mechanical drive chains and pulleys which laboriously tied the customer’s conveyor and hoppers together, all while adding unprecedented process flexibility and speed adjustment.

Achieving a rapid ROI while delivering this high quality solution is only possible because of the relationship the HTE TECHTEAM has with HTE Automation, a distributor of world-class automation components.  Products were used from global leaders included Mitsubishi Electric Automation, World-Wide Electric Motors, ABB, Rittal, Murr Elektronik, and Wago.
